How I paid 62 cents for a brand new hardcover bestseller.
I went to Borders tonight because I had $15 in Borders Bucks that needed to be spent this month before they expired.

Saving money is one of my interests, but what does it have to do with nanotechnology research? I had $15 in Borders Bucks thanks to e-Rewards. What is e-Rewards? They pay you to do online consumer surveys. Most of these can be completed in less than 10 minutes. It’s not the best thing for mentally recharging but it’s a productive use of the, let’s say 10 minutes, time that I’m waiting for one of my film depositions to finish. Accumulated e-Rewards dollars can be redeemed for Borders Bucks, gift cards with other retailers, or things like airline miles and magazine subscriptions.
And just fyi- I get 40% coupons by email all the time for being a Borders Rewards member. It’s free to become a member; all you do is go into the store and ask for a card that you take home and activate with your contact info.
How long would you say it took you to earn $15 in Borders Bucks, though?
saad: I can’t recall exactly, but I would say 4-6 weeks. I got a chance to register with Pinecone Research this morning, and they apparently pay out in straight cash. We’ll see how that works out, if I get accepted.
Good one… I was never able to earn Border bucks, But I just want to get a book for 62 cents to see the look on the retailer’s face…:)
